Our Commitment
At Verse & Coffee, we take pride in sourcing, roasting, and delivering high-quality single-origin coffee. We want every order to arrive in perfect condition. This Refund Policy explains what to do if something goes wrong and what we can and cannot accept for returns.
Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By completing a purchase on verseandcoffee.com, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below.
1. General Policy
All sales of coffee products are final. Due to the perishable nature of roasted coffee beans and food safety regulations, we do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds on coffee products unless the order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.
This policy applies to all products sold through verseandcoffee.com, including one-time purchases and subscription (Coffee Club) orders.
2. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged during shipping, contains a defective product, or includes the wrong item, we will make it right. To be eligible for a replacement or refund, you must meet all of the following conditions:
a) Contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Send an email to [email protected] with your order number, a description of the issue, and at least one clear photo showing the problem (damaged packaging, incorrect product, or visible defect).
b) Do not discard the product or packaging. We may need photos of the original packaging and shipping materials to file a carrier claim. Please retain everything until we confirm your claim has been resolved.
c) We will review your claim within 2 business days. Once we verify the issue, we will either ship a replacement at no charge or issue a full refund to your original payment method. The resolution method (replacement or refund) is at our discretion based on product availability and the nature of the issue.
3. Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund
The following are not eligible for returns, exchanges, or refunds under any circumstances:
- Coffee products that have been opened, used, brewed, or partially consumed
- Products returned without prior authorization from Verse & Coffee
- Orders where the customer provided an incorrect or incomplete shipping address
- Products damaged due to improper storage after delivery (exposure to heat, moisture, or direct sunlight)
- Orders where the delivery was confirmed by the carrier but the customer claims non-receipt (theft or loss after delivery is a carrier issue — we will assist you in filing a claim with the shipping carrier)
- Personal taste or flavor preference (we cannot accept returns because a customer did not enjoy the flavor profile of a particular roast)
- Products purchased more than 48 hours prior to the claim being submitted
4. Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If a replacement is issued for a damaged or incorrect order, we will cover all shipping costs for the replacement shipment at no charge to you.
If you received free shipping on your original order (orders over $50.00), and a partial refund brings your order total below the free shipping threshold, the original shipping cost will not be retroactively charged.
5. Subscription Orders (Coffee Club)
Subscription orders are subject to the same refund policy as one-time purchases. If a subscription shipment arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery following the process described in Section 2 above.
Subscription refunds will not be issued for:
- Shipments you forgot to skip or pause before the billing date
- Flavor or roast preferences (you may change your roast selection in your account dashboard before the next billing cycle)
- Subscription charges that have already been processed
Cancellation, not refund, is the remedy for unwanted subscriptions. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard at verseandcoffee.com or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellations must be submitted at least 48 hours before your next scheduled billing date to avoid being charged for the following cycle. If you cancel after a charge has been processed, the cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period, and the final shipment will still be delivered.
You may also pause your subscription for up to 90 days through your account dashboard. After 90 days of being paused, your subscription will be automatically cancelled.
6. Promo Codes and Discounts
If a refund is issued on an order that used a promo code or discount, the refund amount will reflect the actual amount paid after the discount was applied, not the full retail price. Promo codes are single-use unless otherwise stated and will not be reissued if a refund is processed.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the refund to appear on your statement after approval. The exact timing depends on your bank or credit card provider.
We do not issue refunds via check, cash, store credit, or any payment method other than the original form of payment.

9. Policy Changes
Verse and Company LLC reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of verseandcoffee.com and placement of orders after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
